Every law school applicant must present a valid LSAT score in order to apply. While the LSAT score is not the only requirement, the grade you receive on the LSAT is a big determinant of which law school you gain access to.
Each school has different standards regarding LSAT scores and GPA. Scoring below a 150 will lessen your chances of getting into any law school. We have compiled a list of eight universities across the U.S. and Canada, providing the average GPA and LSAT scores of first year students who applied and qualified in 2010. The schools listed below were chosen by random based on a coast to coast overview. We tried to give a well rounded view of different types of law schools and not just list the top ranked ones.
University | LSAT Score | GPA | Arizona State University | 161 | 3.6 | Columbia University | 171 | 3.7 | Emory | 166 | 3.54 | University of Calgary | 158 | 3.5 | Barry University | 151 | 2.92 | University of North Carolina | 163 | 3.5 | University of San Francisco | 159 | 3.45 | Washington University | 167 | 3.7 |
