Following are some imprortant rules and formulas to memorize for the quantitative section of the GMAT. 

Rules and memorizables for integers and arithmetic

To make things easier during the real test, there are certain shortcuts and rules you must know by word. Scan throught the list below for things that are recommended to be memorized:

Powers
The ten first powers of the number 2, that is 22-210.
For the number three know the first four powers.
For the numbers 4-10 know the first three powers.
For the numbers 11-25 know the second power.

Factorials

Know the factorials of 2!-7!

Popular fractions and their decimals

1/6 = 0.166,  1/13=0.077, 1/8=0.125, 1/12=0.083, 1/20=0.05 etc.

Comparing between fractions

When asked to compare between fractions, simply create a common denominator, and then compare the products of the nominators.

Converting fractions to decimals and vice a versa

You should know how to do these conversion quickly.

 
Evens and odds

Even±Even= Even
Even±Odd=Odd
Odd±Odd= Even
Even×Even=Even
Even×Odd=Even
Odd×Odd=Odd


Memorizables for Geometry


Areas of polygons

Area of a square: (Diagonal×Diagonal):2

Volmes of three dimesnsional shapes

Box, cylinder, cube, sphere.
