I got the TEAS tests. I found this website to be very helpful. The practice tests are almost identical to the real test; they have helped me a lot in studying.

I got the TEAS practice tests. Your practice test questions are actually very similar to those in the ‘real’ tests.

Performing well on the ATI TEAS test is critical to securing a place in your nursing program of choice. In 2015, the mean annual wage for registered nurses was $67,500, with 10% earning over $101,000. The Bureau of Labor Statistics found that in 2014 there were 2,751,000 jobs for registered nurses in the U.S. Currently, over 280 million people in America have access to medical care. As that number continues to grow, the demand for nurses will increase and the number of jobs is predicted to rise by 16%—that’s 440,300 more jobs by 2024.

Our practice tests are designed to be a close match to the content and style of the ATI TEAS exam. Doing so provides you with the best chance of familiarizing yourself with the real exam.

watch this video to learn everything you need to know about the ATI TEAS Exam: What Is the ATI TEAS Exam?

  • The ATI TEAS stands for the Assessment Institute of Technologies Test of Essential Academic Skills.
  • The test is distributed by ATI, also called ATI Testing.
  • The test can be referred to as the ATI TEAS, the TEAS 6, the TEAS VI, the ATI Nursing exam, and generally as the TEAS test.
  • The exam is required for entrance to most health science programs, such as nursing degrees.
  • The exam is multiple-choice with 170 questions and a 209-minute time limit.
  • There are four subjects, covering material mostly taught between grades 7 to 12, tested in individual sections in the following order: Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage.

If you have a TEAS test scheduled for 2021, start preparing for the exam early. Spaces for nursing programs are limited, so it is vital you score high on the TEAS test to set your application apart from the competition.

How to Prepare for the ATI TEAS Test

  • Familiarize yourself with the TEAS test's formalities, like when to register and where you can take the test.
  • Create a study plan tailored to the time you have available before test day.
  • Expose yourself to TEAS test practice as much as you can. Doing so will test your knowledge, refocus your attention on your weakest areas, and help you familiarize yourself with the style of the test.
  • Avoid TEAS V practice tests. The test material on the ATI TEAS is not the same as the TEAS V. You will need to take TEAS 6 practice tests when preparing for the ATI TEAS exam.
  • Study for the test in one- to two-week study blocks. Learn and review material, prioritizing the areas you struggle with most.
  • Take a practice TEAS test after each period of study. Try to take a full-length TEAS practice test, or practice a specific section of the test, under time constraints.
  • Adjust your study plan and study style to address your areas of weakness. You can visit any of our TEAS subject pages to gain access to TEAS study guides by subject.
  • Review all the formalities for the test when test day is a week away. Remind yourself what time it is being administered, what you may or may not take into the test center, and how to get there.
  • Revisit your study notes with confidence, and prepare yourself to take a final practice test at least two days before the actual test. Reviewing TEAS study guides will help you immensely.
  • Take a trial practice test a few days before the TEAS test. Don’t worry if you don't do as well as you would like; your scores will help focus your efforts on the areas of study that need the most attention.

TEAS Version 6 Scores

In the 2014–2015 academic year, over 50,000 qualified applicants were rejected out of 265,954 applications that were submitted for entry-level baccalaureate nursing programs. Of the 170,109 that met admission criteria, only 119,428 applicants were accepted into a program. That put the overall acceptance rate at under 50%, while the acceptance rate of applications that met admission criteria was 70%.

Undertaking TEAS test practice is a vital step to achieving superior results. TEAS test scores that are higher than the program requirements will drastically improve your chance of acceptance to your chosen program.

TEAS Test Scores - What Is a Good Score?

  • A target composite score (all four subjects combined) of at least 10% above your program’s required score is advised. The passing grade you will need to achieve is set by the program you are applying to. It can be anywhere from between 60–70% for lower ranking programs to 85-95% for higher ranking programs.
  • The Mean National Pass Grade and the Mean Program Pass Grade should be treated as indicators, not as grade targets. The competition for nursing programs is high, and this, combined with faculty shortages, results in qualified applicants being rejected from programs.
