Below you will find preview videos of our exclusive video academy. These videos are meant to accompany you in your preparation for either the OLSAT or the NNAT.

Learning from the Video Academy
One of the main advantages to a video academy is the feeling of supervision. By using the video academy, you can listen and pay more attention to the explanations.
Most questions in our preparation packs have detailed explanations of how you can identify the correct answer, and why the rest of the answer choices are incorrect. However, when analyzing a question via a video, you can pause after each sentence and make sure you understand everything before going on. After you hear the complete explanation, you can pause and reexplain it to yourself or someone else as a way of checking that there are no loose ends.
Pausing and rewinding in general allows for a much more comfortable studying environment. The idea that learning can be flexible really benefits the understanding of each question and a more relaxed approach to studying in general.
Another advantage is that short videos can be easier to digest all the information. Solving a full-length test usually takes dozens of questions, and being able to stop and decipher all the clues and logic tricks can be quite demanding. Therefore, it is sometimes easier and more comfortable to approach some questions using a visual aid. Videos can increase your child's motivation.
Preparing for a Test
When preparing for a test, it is important to know how your mind functions the best. The idea behind our packs is not to read everything in one day but rather create a fun, learning, motivating experience for the student. This is why we advise that you begin practicing for your test two weeks in advance.
Our packs may contain study guides or video guides that can help you ease into the different areas of the test more easily. After brushing up on topics you may have forgotten, you can try either practice test or full-length simulations.
Once you have finished the simulations, extra practice tests, or enrichment tests, you can review the questions that you did not understand. Our detailed explanations have a complete solution for each question. If you are comfortable with the logic behind it, you can find ways to either improve it, or recreate it more efficiently (in the case of math, you can perhaps perform calculations more easily).
Remember that you can retake our tests many times and track your progress throughout the entire learning process. Always consult our study guides if you need a refreshment, and even if you solve a question correctly, you can still read the explanation to learn about a new way of solving the question, or a full, complete solution.
Challenges in OLSAT and NNAT
The OLSAT and NNAT tests have a few sections that can be more challenging. For the NNAT, the most challenging sections are: Serial reasoning and reasoning by analogy. For the OLSAT, the most challenging sections are: Figural/picture analogies and series.
The aim of those questions is to introduce an element of cognitive reasoning.

About the Video Academy
Studying for gifted tests can be very challenging, especially for young children. Certain questions can be confusing, and may be hard to understand without additional visual aids.
