MCAT registration in five easy steps

Step 1

Locate a test center of your choice, reserve a seat, apply for accommodations and check registration deadlines. Read the 2012 MCAT Essentials before registering for the exam. Submit your Fee Assistance Program (FAP) application prior to MCAT Registration (if applicable).

Step 2

Enter your name in the Scheduling and Registration system exactly as it appears on the identification (ID) you bring with you to the exam. Fill in your background information. This information is strictly for AAMC research and statistical purposes.

Step 3

Ensure that your contact information and your e-mail address is accurate. Choose the schools you wish your MCAT scores and information to be sent to. Your options are described on the "Release MCAT Scores" page.

Step 4

You need to sign a consent form agreeing to all the terms and conditions of the MCAT test in order to continue. At this step you can also agree to give a biometric sample. You will also need to declare you are applying to a health profession school. Note that the MCAT test can only be taken by medical profession applicants.

Step 5

Choose the MCAT date and place in which you wish to take the exam. Arrange payment for the exam, and learn more about the MCAT cost. At the end of the process, you will receive confirmation of the date and place of the exam and of your payment.
