The reading comprehension part of the GMAT Verbal section includes 4 passages, with 3 – 4 questions following each passage. Questions require to show your understanding of specific structural and contextual elements in the text and the passage as a whole.
The passages do not focus on specific knowledge and do not require professional background in any academic field. However, they are drawn from high-level scientific/social/cultural magazines and books, and reflect the highest level of English and expression of ideas. Only a continuous exposure to such high level texts can bring about a change and ability to better cope with the level of questions that arise from each text.
