Leander ISD Gifted and Talented Services

Leander ISD's program for gifted and talented students is titled "QUEST", or Quality Utilization and Enrichment of Student Talent. The program is designed to enable gifted students to explore school subjects with greater depth and complexity. The program nurtures students' problem solving skills, creative thinking and research abilities. Elementary school children participate in a pull out program for two hours per week, with a specially trained teacher on their regular school campus. Middle school students attend a daily pre-AP class.

In high school, QUEST students may participate in the G/T lab, which aims to meet individual student needs and interests. High school QUEST students are also encouraged to enroll in the International Baccalaureate program at Leander or Vandergift high schools. Gifted high schoolers at Leander ISD also have access to AP and pre AP courses and a variety of other specialised courses and activities.
