Wonderlic Student Placement Process

The Wonderlic entrance exam is used to assess student readiness and can be utilized for both college admissions and placement. The Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) and the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (BST) are frequently used for for admission and placement purposes. At times, the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test may be used as well.


Academic Programs That Use the Wonderlic Test

Vocational study programs often require the Wonderlic Test. While the Wonderlic SLE is the most commonly used Wonderlic Entrance Exam, other Wonderlic Tests are used as well, depending on the academic institution.

American Career College

Founded over 35 years ago, American Career College (ACC) now has five campuses in Southern California, enabling ACC to provide a quality educational path and prepare its students for success.

Each campus provides a modern facility with labs and classrooms equipped with computers, tools, and instruments similar to those you will use throughout your career.

American Career College (ACC) provides education and training in various healthcare career paths. In order to be admitted to ACC, prospective students are required to complete the American Career College entrance exam, the Wonderlic SLE.

All students seeking admission to ACC must take the ACC entrance exam. If a student fails, s/he may retake the ACC entrance exam*. Passing scores are valid for five years.

Bauder College

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, Bauder College offers high school graduates career training programs, from Fashion Design to Business Management. Students applying to Bauder College are required to take the Wonderlic SLE during the admissions process.

Bay State College

With campuses in Boston and Taunton, M.A., Bay State College offers a variety of Associate and Bachelor’s degree programs. Each Bay State applicant is required to take the online Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test as part of the admissions process.

Carrington College

Carrington College and Carrington College California are both co-op divisions of Carrington Colleges Group.

Formerly known as Apollo College, Carrington College trains students to work in the healthcare field. Carrington College operates at 11 different campuses in the western U.S. and also offers programs online.

The Wonderlic SLE is Carrington College’s entrance exam. A minimum score of 10 is required except for campuses located in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.

In addition to the Wonderlic SLE, the following programs require applicants to take the Wonderlic General Assessment of Instructional Needs (GAIN) Test. Applicants must also achieve a minimum score of four (4) on both the English and Math sections:

Carrington College California

In addition to training students to work in the healthcare field, Carrington College California, previously known as Western Career College, observes the trends of the healthcare industry in order to determine what skills and specialties are most currently in demand. Carrington College California operates at seven different campuses in the state of California.

The following programs at Carrington College California require a minimum score of 13 on the Wonderlic SLE:

Keiser University

With campuses all over the state of Florida, as well as online programs and off-campus sites, Keiser University offers a wide variety of degree programs. Each prospective student is required to take the Wonderlic SLE to be admitted.

Keiser University has maintained the philosophy of putting its students first for more than 35 years. In order to provide students with an environment conducive to learning, Keiser University provides a cooperative educational program by working together with its students.

In addition to its online programs and off-campus sites, Keiser University has 14 campuses all over Florida, with its main campus in Fort Lauderdale.

Platt College

Platt College, located in San Diego, C.A., offers Associate's and Bachelor's degrees in the Media Arts, as well as diploma programs. All students seeking entry to Platt College are required to take the Wonderlic SLE.

Platt College San Diego identifies its students’ natural talents and helps students to strengthen those talents. Platt College offers programs in graphic design, web design, 3D animation, video production, and visual effects.

At Platt College, students can finish their degrees quickly in an accelerated program. In just 15 months, students can complete an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree. In just 15 more months, students can complete a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, depending on the program and track they choose. Classes start every five weeks for morning and afternoon classes, and every six weeks for evening classes. This accelerated program allows students to finish their bachelor’s degrees in just 2.5 years.

Remington College

Remington College is an accredited career-focused training school. The Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) is the only acceptable entrance exam for Remington College.*

*Except for students who already possess an associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.

As a non-profit college, the tuition for Remington College includes uniforms (if needed) and supplies. Remington College tuition costs will not increase for students who are continuously enrolled and on track to completing their respective programs. Remington College programs also offer flexibility to those balancing school along with work and family. Day, evening, and online classes (depending on which program) are available. With 18 campuses across nine states, as well as an online program, Remington College offers a vast variety of Associate, Bachelor’s, and Diploma programs.

Sanford-Brown

Sanford-Brown, a network of private schools with over 30 campuses throughout the U.S., offers programs in healthcare and other related fields. Many of Sanford-Brown’s academic programs require applicants to take and pass the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) as part of the admissions process.

In order to be admitted to Westwood College, students need to take the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE).

Westwood College offers diploma and degree programs in technology, healthcare, business, design, justice, and industrial service. At Westwood College, students are provided with a hands-on and career-focused curriculum.
